Babies

Our baby unit consists of two large rooms, offering a safe, caring environment with bright, soft toys and sensory equipment to encourage development. These rooms are specially designed for our youngest babies and offer a warm, clean and secure environment. To minimise any cross-infections, all staff wear gloves and aprons when changing nappies and our baby rooms have a ‘no outdoor shoe policy’. Babies are encouraged with multi-sensory stimulation, participating in water play, music and singing and a variety of tactile/messy play.

We aim to follow the home routines of each baby, which include feeding habits, sleep patterns, potty training etc. A large part of their day will be spent cuddling and interacting with the nursery staff. The baby unit has a separate sleep area and nappy changing facilities.

A daily written report is provided, consisting of such information as, feeds, nappy changes and sleep times.
