Children in Need 2012

20/11/2012

All the staff and children got dressed up in their PJ's! We all got creative doing some cooking our 3-5's made rice krispie cakes and our babies baked and iced fairy cakes, all of which we sold at our bake sale to raise money for children in need.
Janet our cook also made some lovely cakes and biscuits for our cake sale which all sold very quickly, including yummy Pudsey Bear biscuits which the children all ate for tea.

Harvest Festival

15/09/11

St George’s Nursery School has again chosen to support Action Homeless by donating our Harvest collection this year. We have previously supported this charity and we teach and encourage the children to give something back to the community to help and support others. The children have taken a real interest, and have been getting their parents involved!

Royal Wedding

The nurseries will be celebrating the big event in the run up to the royal wedding by decorating the nursery and doing activities with the children, talking to them about the royal family and the monarchy. There will also be garden parties going on and everyone dressing up as King’s, Queen’s, princes and princesses.

St George’s Day

The nurseries will also be celebrating St George’s day our namesake! There will be red, white and blue days with all dressing up in these colours, lots of fun activities going on such as learning about George and the dragon and making bunting and flags.

A special menu will also be enjoyed on the day.

Ofsted and Environmental Health– Oadby, Congratulations

Our Oadby site was inspected by Ofsted on the 27th January 2011. The inspection went well and we got good in all areas. The report is now online for all to see so please take a moment to have a look.

They were also inspected by Environmental Health this week and were awarded 5 stars which is the highest you can get, so well done to Fiona.

Congratulations Enderby!

Enderby have had a very successful time also recently. They have been inspected by Environmental health and were awarded 5 stars which is the highest you can get. They were told it was the cleanest nursery they had ever seen so a huge well done to Ann and all the staff at Enderby.
