As part of our nursery curriculum, children from three - five years follow the Early Years National Curriculum as required by OfSTED in order to cultivate children's nature curiosity for learning and to prepare them for school.
We allow each child to experience the excitement of learning through free choice in a carefully structured environment.
We help each child to achieve their maximum potential and develop in the following areas:
- Independence Motivation to Learn
- Concentration Creativity
- Self-Confidence Social Skills
Research has shown that children’s cognitive development is at its peak before the age of six. At St. George’s we believe that by creating stimulating, educational conditions, we can provide children with sound foundations for future learning.
As part of St. George’s Nursery curriculum, every child works towards the early learning goals set by OfSTED.
Children are introduced to more formal activities that they will encounter when they begin school such as reading, writing and mathematics.
Children are introduced to and have the opportunity to play and have fun with computers.
Children can also take part in dance lessons, which will help to develop their balance and co-ordination. Back to top
