We want to say a massive thank you to everyone at Grace Road that contributed toward our collection for the homeless, the Y Centre were very happy and appreciative for all we have done and will be sending a thank you letter to us all.                    

This week at Grace Road our 3-5’s have been learning all about the letter “S” by coloring pictures that begin with “s” recognition of the letter, “s” activities such as Sand and the Sock matching game and practicing pencil control writing words that begin with “s”.                                

During Harvest festival we at Grace Road are collecting for the Y Centre, which will be given to the homeless, we are asking all to make a donation if possible, Any donation’s given would be truly appreciated, as these will be helping a lot of people that are less fortunate. This week at Grace Road our 2-3’s welcome you to St. George’s newsagents, where they have been “shopping” for their teachers and taking turns in being the shop keeper. Also this week our 3-5’s have been counting in a variety of ways such matching dots the correct number by finger painting on frogs and ladybird’s.

  Over the last couple of weeks we have been asking our parents at the city site what about their child makes them proud. we then made the comments into a proud cloud board. we have had so many lovely things said about our children that we just had to share them.

Nothing tastes better than home grown right? Pre-school have harvested a courgette and some beans this week from what they planted in Narborough’s garden a few months back. They will taste yummy in our chicken and vegetable paella for lunch tomorrow!

The children in pre school at Grace Road have been busy getting creative with different collage materials making their own scarecrows. They have enjoyed singing dingle dangle scarecrow and practicing their scarecrow moves: such as shaking their hands, feet and their flippy floppy hats.

Welcome to St. Georges bakery, This week at Grace Road all of our children have been busy baking some yummy pizzas. We all helped roll the dough and had a variety of cheese, dairy free cheese, chicken roll, sweetcorn and peppers to choose from.

This week at Grace Road the 0-2’s unit have made some cards for their grandparents and in the 2-3 unit we have made a birthday card for their father.

A lovely gift from a parent to show her appreciation for caring for her child, which was such a generous gift and ever so yummy.
